Congratulations to the boys on a very fine season. The boys finished one place out of the money yesterday however they made a showing at the meet that they can all be very proud of.

The girls finished 8th as a team in a field that was one of the strongest in recent memory. Last year 2 teams from the TVL league moved on to the All State meet out of Division III and this year no teams advanced and only one individual will move on. That individual is the conference most valuable runner and Holliston captain Rosie Keogh. Rosie's 5th place finish equals the best ever finish by a TVL conference and Holliston girl at the division III meet. Rosie will finish up her high school cross country career next week at the All State meet at Franklin Park. Go Rosie!!!

TVL Conference Meet Results

"The Long Red Line" repeats at TVL Conference meet
After graduation took 4 of the top 5 boys off the 2007 varsity boys team that won the dual meet and conference meet championships no one in the league would have picked Holliston to repeat. Add to it an opening season loss to Norton and you have a recipe for a long season. Captains Matt Mysliwiec and Chris Dracoules and team would not roll over and die putting together a string of 6 dual meet wins over all of the leagues top teams.Yesterday Holliston took it up another notch rolling to an impressive win at the TVL conference championship. With Sophomore Evan Reseka (4th), Junior Justin Murray(7th) and Senior Matt Mysliwiec (8th) leading the way the boys romped home with an impressive 26 point victory over runnerup Hopkinton.

Not to be out done the junior varsity crashed the finish line in a wave of red led by Chris Hewes (1st), Andy Mysliwiec (3nd), and Dan Icuma (4th) followed by a long line of mostly red. Team scoring is only done for the varsity, however the JV score would have been very impressive.

In the freshmen race Conor Brady served notice for the future winning that race by more then 75 meters. Henry Lively was also a top ten finisher.

On the girls side the varsity got some revenge on Medfield but could not catch a talented Hopkinton team. Holliston finished second with 61 points to Hopkintons 44. Medfield was third with 69 points. Individually, Rosie Keogh dominated the field in 19:07.1 seconds a huge 37 second margin over the second place runner from Westwood. In the process Rosie took 26 seconds off the meet and course record set last year by former teammate Allison Lynch. Following Rosie across the line in fourth place was Sophomore Amanda Lang. Karly Slyne was 15th, Sophomore Claire Lingham 20th, Freshman Jill Rosati 21st, Carina Doyle 25th and Sam Panepinto 30th. This was the most outstanding effort by the girls team this season.

In the junior varsity race Senior new comer Lauren Paul lead the way for the Panthers with a 5th place finish followed by Alli Tau 10th, Lizzy Gabour 11th, Alexis Deprey 13th,, Caroline Curran 14th, Julie Blackmore 16th, Steph Brockert 22nd.

The freshmen took 3 positions in the top ten with Rachel Dinehart 3rd, Janine Holder 4th and Rebecca Sirull 9th.
